Chip
Christy gives you smooth vocals over music driven by the
acoustic guitar. His sound blends hip-hop inspired
rhythms with catchy pop melodies. Still, his lyrics are
soulful and reminiscent of the 70’s singer/songwriter.
He's James Taylor meets Kanye West.
At 21 years of age, Chip Christy has a wealth of
experience. Chip is currently touring throughout
Michigan and Ohio, playing an average of four shows a
week. He performs primarily at bars, nightclubs, and
festivals.
Chip recorded his first full-length CD of original
material when he was 15 years old and was able to sell
over 3,000 copies by his 18th birthday. By his 20th
birthday, he was able to sell 3,000 more.
Chip’s latest album, “Moods Unwind” was released in
March of 2007. To create “Moods Unwind”, Chip Christy
teamed up with the talented Ohio based producers, Connor
Smith and Ben Rivet. After months in the studio, “Moods
Unwind” has become home to Chip Christy’s best work to
date. Chip expects the album’s first single, “Suburbia’s
Hip Hop King”, to receive regular radio airplay
throughout the Midwest. And, he expects album sales to
be limitless.
